Bill of Rights (1st 10 Amendments)
Amendment IFreedom of religion, speech and the rights to protest peacefully.
Amendment IIA militia to protect the state and the right to have a weapon for protection.
Amendment IIIThe government can't put soldiers in your house when there is peace or war without asking or the owners allowing it.
Amendment IVYou can't be searched without a warrant (legal document) given by the judge.
Amendment VProtects people from being held responsible for a crime unless properly convicted. You can't be blamed for the same crime twice. You can't testify against yourself.
Amendment VIGaurentees speedy trial, impartial jury, accused can confront witness and the right to a lawyer.
Amendment VIIGaurentees a jury in federal civil court cases.
Amendment VIIINo cruel or unusual punishment.
Amendment IXNot all rights are listed and those not listed can't be violated.
Amendment XAny power not given to federal government belongs to the states.
