Article 1 Section 3
The Senate should be made of two senators from each state by state legislatures.
Senators have membership for 6 years.
In order to be a Senator:
- Be at least 30 years old
- Live in the United States for at least 9 years
- Live in the state you were elected in
The President can approve a law proposed by the House or Senate.
The President has 10 days to sign or veto (reject) and return a bill to the House of Representatives or the Senate.
- A bill is a law that has not been approved. In order for it to be a law, the bill has to be approved by the President.
